College can be a tough transition for some students. My hope is that this website can provide some structure and guidance to those who are looking to transition from high school to college, or even for those who are thinking about going back to school at an older age. (It’s never too late to get an education! Check out this article that gives 7 reasons why adult students actually have an advantage in the classroom!)
As a college graduate myself, there are many things I wish I had known prior to starting classes. Unfortunately, when I started college, the internet wasn’t as big of a thing as it is nowadays! (I graduated with a degree in communication in 1997….I remember I was one of the very few students on campus to even HAVE a computer! It’s crazy to think how much times have changed!) ….it wasn’t as simple as looking up information with laptop or smart phone. The only college transitioning guidance we had, was either by word of mouth from guidance counselors or by paper pamphlets at college fairs.
I hope the resources I’ve put together on my website can help. If there is anything you would like to see on here, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me. My email is: email@example.com
